The results of by-polls to four Lok Sabha and nine Assembly seats will come out today under the shadow of political slugfest erupted following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision to demonetize Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes.
BJP and Trinamool Congress won two Lok Sabha seats each on Tuesday as counting of votes took place for bypolls in four Lok Sabha and eight Assembly Constituencies, spread across six States and one Union Territory where by-elections were held on Saturday. Following their victory, both the parties claimed people voted for them for their stand on demonetisation. In the Assembly bypolls, BJP and AIADMK won three seats each, CPI(M) got two while Congress and Trinamool bagged one each.
